Rebecca June Hewitt or Rebecca Cartwright was born July 23, 1983 in Sydney, Australia. She is an Australian celebrity. Hewitt was originally known for her acting career, under the name Rebecca Cartwright and later Bec Cartwright, which included starring in Police Rescue, Heartbreak High, Water Rats and Totally Wild, but she is best known as Hayley Smith in her role in the soap opera Home and Away. Since then she has left acting. She has tried to launch a singing career, and is most prominent today as Bec Hewitt in the context of her marriage to Australian tennis star Lleyton Hewitt.
